Alistair took up golf at the age of 14 and learned his golf at Dungannon Golf Club. PGA Qualified Level 3.

He was certainly in distinguished company with Darren Clarke being a fellow junior member as well as several other current PGA pros.

Turning pro in 1985, Alistair served his 3 year PGA apprenticeship with Michael Bannon, who has coached Rory McIlroy since he started playing golf.

Alistair has played numerous tournaments in the UK and Europe and represented Ireland in the 1990’s. He is also a former PGA Assistant of the Year. He has been a PGA Golf Professional since 1985.

His coaching philosophy is as follows, “Whilst I think it is important to get the fundamentals right, especially when just starting, I think there are many ways a golfer can achieve a good result. The key to getting better is to find the method and techniques which work best for an individual and work on that.”
