Newbury Racecourse
Golf Club
Newbury Racecourse Golf Club is set in the beautiful surroundings of Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire.
The course is gently undulating and has excellent drainage which makes it playable throughout the year. The course comprises 12 holes which are in the centre of the racecourse thus offering links style golf with some additional water features and 6 holes which are parkland in character and which are now benefiting from an extensive planting programme which is reaching maturity. From the red tees the course measures 5,274 yards and is par 71. The club is easily accessed by both the M3 and M4.
The Golf Academy is one of the finest in the county. There is a 20 bay golf range which is both covered and floodlit. It is kept to the highest standards by an ongoing replacement of golf balls and mats. Recent additions include a double teaching bay, a new practice bunker and a grass practice area.
Over the last 2 years the clubhouse has undergone major refurbishment incorporating a large decking area which overlooks the 18th green. This is a perfect spot for a drink after a round of golf. A jaunt into Newbury will not disappoint with its assortment of shops and there are barge trips to take on the Kennet and Avon canal which runs through the middle of Newbury.
