Ben has worked at Paultons Golf Centre for 6 years in a number of roles and has recently completed his 3-year P.G.A. Foundation Degree in Professional Golf.
Ben started playing competitive golf only 7 years ago here at Paultons and managed to obtain his first handicap of just 7. Ben went on to win The 2010 Men’s Club Championship at Paultons Golf Centre and then turned professional directly after this achievement. Since then, Ben has won 2 professional events and has come runner up in 2010 and 2011 in The Hampshire Trainee Order of Merit. Ben has also been elected to work at Princes Golf Club in June 2013 with their Director of Golf to help organise The 2013 British Amateur Championships.
Ben was nominated in 2012 by The Hampshire P.G.A. committee as the Hampshire P.G.A. Assistants Captain for 2012 and 2013. This involves organising matches for the trainees and assistants across Hampshire in The Paul Hurring match and Jack Wells match
Ben has been introducing members to Paultons for a number of years and helps organise member competitions for the male section. Ben also runs golfing seminars for member rules nights for the members.
Ben has focussed his teaching on an individual basis and enjoys teaching members and visitors of the golf club. Ben’s technique to teaching focuses on an instant improvement to ball flight whilst also maintaining fundamental course management skills. Ben is always looking to improve the golfers’ ball flight from simple technique aspects which members and visitors understand straight away.
