This PGA Championship course was actually initially designed by Harry Vardon in the early 1900s as 9 holes and was then later re-designed by Jack Nicklaus II to become a fantastic 18 hole course. Behind the Manor house was an undulating piece of farmland and this land was utilised to add the extra holes. It is one of the premier golf courses near London and provides an exciting challenge for golfers of all skill levels. Each hole offers a different challenge and double fairways are incorporated. Each nine has a completely different feel and look with the newer front nine having more of an American modern style and the back nine feeling more like a traditional parkland course with mature majestic trees. From the red tees, the course measures 5,360 yards and is Par 72.

The Golf Academy welcomes golfers of all standards and abilities. There is an open-air grass practice area which features a Himalayan-design putting green, chipping green and practice bunker area. It is equipped with the latest C-Swing Video Analysis.

The golf shop has a full range of golfing necessities and features Titleist, TaylorMade, Footjoy and Galvin Green. All equipment can be hired including electric trollies.
