This quintessentially English club was founded way back in 1911 and designed by Fred Hawtree and five times Open Champion, James Braid. A lovely parkland course, which oozes history and is situated in a very special corner of Surrey, close to London and just 2 miles from central Croydon. It has matured beautifully just like a fine wine! As it is built on chalk, it offers excellent golf all year round.

The clubhouse is south facing and the course extends up the valley in a series of gently undulating loops. Every hole can be described as enjoying its own private world as the lush, springy fairways are fringed by silver birch, beech and ancient oak. The course is an interesting challenge for golfers of all standards. From the Ladies Tees, the course measures 5,622 yards and is par 72.  Enjoy the beautiful fourth hole which is quite a challenge and savour the stunning view back down the valley. 

 The clubhouse offers a warm welcome and is super for relaxing after a round of golf. There is also a terrace overlooking the course. The food will not disappoint. It’s also worth a visit to the well stocked pro shop offering top brands at competitive prices.
