Calum Callan

Cottesmore Golf Club

Calum is a PGA Qualified Level 3 Golf Professional. Head Pro and Director of Golf. He has been a PGA Golf Professional since 1992 and is CRB certified.

Calum has been based at Cottesmore since turning professional in 1992. He follows the modern game with an avid eye to keep up with modern techniques and has a keen interest in promoting junior golf. Calum developed Cottesmore’s Junior Academy in 2007 to ensure a pathway into tournament golf for children of all ages.

Calum still manages to find time to compete in local events and topped the Sussex PGA Order of Merit as recently as 2010. He is also Vice-Chairman of The PGA in England (South).

His Coaching Philosophy is as follows, “The golf swing evolves from the set up and takeaway. Do either of these poorly and you are making the game of golf more difficult. I am also aware that finding time to practise can be difficult for many people so I ensure they are able to make best use from what practice time they have.”
